At Hazari Holidays, we understand that travel plans can change. Our cancellation policy is intended to provide clear guidelines for cancellations, refunds, and booking changes.
Because our services may involve transportation, hotels, houseboats, tour arrangements, tickets, and third-party suppliers, cancellation terms may vary depending on the booking.
General Cancellation Policy
Cancellation charges may depend on:
- Type of service booked
- Date of cancellation
- Travel date
- Amount already paid
- Supplier or hotel cancellation rules
- Availability and advance commitments made for the booking
Any cancellation request should be communicated to Hazari Holidays as soon as possible.
Car Rental & Transportation
For car rentals, Tempo Travellers, Urbania vehicles, medium coaches, and other transportation services, cancellation charges may apply depending on how close the cancellation is to the scheduled travel date.
If a vehicle has already been reserved specifically for your booking, advance amounts may be non-refundable where costs or commitments have already been incurred.
Changes to pickup locations, travel dates, routes, vehicle requirements, or trip duration may also result in additional charges.
Tour Package Cancellation
Cancellation of Kashmir or Ladakh tour packages may involve charges for transportation, hotels, houseboats, permits, activities, and other services already reserved.
Any refund will be calculated after deducting applicable cancellation charges and non-refundable amounts.
Hotel & Houseboat Bookings
Hotel and houseboat cancellations are subject to the cancellation terms of the respective property.
Some bookings may be partially refundable, while promotional, discounted, peak-season, or last-minute bookings may be non-refundable.
Where a third-party property retains an amount under its cancellation policy, that amount may be deducted from any applicable refund.
Flights & Train Reservations
Air tickets and train reservations are subject to the cancellation, refund, and modification rules of the respective airline, railway authority, or booking provider.
Any applicable service charges, cancellation fees, fare differences, or supplier deductions may be deducted from the refund.
Shikara & Gondola Bookings
Shikara rides and Gondola-related bookings may be subject to availability, weather conditions, operating schedules, and the cancellation rules of the relevant service provider.
Where a third-party provider does not permit a refund, Hazari Holidays may be unable to provide a refund for that portion of the booking.
Refunds
Where a refund is approved, it will generally be processed using the original payment method where practical.
The time required for a refund to reach the customer may depend on the payment provider or financial institution.
Third-party cancellation charges and non-refundable amounts will be deducted where applicable.
Changes by Hazari Holidays
If Hazari Holidays needs to make a significant change to a booking due to circumstances such as weather, road closures, government restrictions, operational issues, or other events beyond our reasonable control, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative arrangement where possible.
Refunds, if applicable, will depend on the affected services and the terms of the relevant suppliers.
No-Show
If a customer does not appear for a confirmed booking without prior notice, the booking may be treated as a no-show, and the amount paid may be non-refundable depending on the service and supplier terms.
How to Cancel
To cancel or modify a booking, please contact Hazari Holidays using the contact details provided on our website.
Please include your booking details, customer name, travel date, and the service you wish to cancel.
Important Note
Cancellation and refund terms may differ for specific bookings. The cancellation conditions communicated in your quotation, booking confirmation, invoice, or applicable third-party supplier policy will take precedence over this general policy where specifically stated.
